Under the direction of Judy Comeau, A Cappella Showcase was formed in 1996, when Judy and 30 other women gathered to create a new chapter of Harmony Inc., an international organization of women singers. A Cappella Showcase has won eight consecutive gold medals in Harmony Inc.’s regional competition, as well as seven consecutive silver International medals. In 2008, A Cappella Showcase traded silver for gold and became the gold medal championship chorus at Harmony’s international competition.

Harmony, Incorporated is an international, non-profit organization whose purpose is to empower all women through education, friendship and a cappella singing in the barbershop style.           In that same year, we also sang in CBC Radio’s Choral Competition and placed second in the barbershop category. We also had the honour, in 2008, to be the first women’s barbershop chorus from Canada to be invited to perform at a prestigious music festival in St. Petersburg, Russia. In addition to competing, A Cappella Showcase has delighted audiences with performances around the Greater Toronto Area. We offer a professional, highly entertaining program with a wide appeal; our repertoire includes songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s, as well as spiritual numbers and show tunes. We rehearse every Tuesday night at New Life Pentecostal Church in Milton, Ontario. We are an educational singing organization dedicated to improving our singing and performance skills. Women of all ages are welcome to join us and receive a vocal analysis and invitation to audition . You don’t have to be able to read music – all you need is a LOVE of singing and having FUN!
